Ingredients

Main
  • 1 store-bought graham cracker pie crust
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 3/4 cups cold milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip thawed, divided
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
Optional Topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or peanut butter chips optional
  • Drizzle of melted peanut butter or chocolate optional

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Fold in half the Cool Whip (about 4 oz) until fully combined. Spread this peanut butter layer evenly into the pie crust.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Spread pudding evenly over the peanut butter layer.
  5. Spread remaining Cool Whip over the pudding layer to create a smooth finish.
  6. Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle with chocolate or peanut butter chips and drizzle with melted peanut butter or chocolate if desired. Slice and serve chilled.

How to Know It's Done

    Cook's Notes

    • Use an Oreo crust in place of graham cracker for a richer chocolate base.
    • Top with chopped Reese's cups for a loaded finish that always goes over well at parties.
